Resume

I’m an innovative data analyst, visualization expert, and technology manager with 5+ years of experience in the nonprofit sector. I help mission-oriented organizations use data and technology to streamline complex processes and enhance their impact.

🛠 Skills

Data Analysis

I’m comfortable using a variety of tools to clean, wrangle, and analyze data. R and Excel are my go-tos, but I have experience using Python, SQL, and Stata as well. I can do everything from simple summary statistics to more advanced regression and machine learning analyses.

Data Visualization

I have an eye for design that, combined with my data training, allows me to produce clean and compelling visualizations. I have experience creating both static and interactive data viz, for internal use and for web publication. For static viz, I work mostly in Adobe Illustrator to finalize graphs created in Excel, R, and Stata. For interactives, I currently use D3.js (along with HTML, CSS, and Javascript), but I also have experience producing interactive visualizations in R using packages like RShiny, Leaflet, and Plotly. Process Improvement

I believe we should all be working smarter, not harder. I love digging into complex, messy processes, identifying what’s most important, and devising plans to streamline and simplify work. I use a combination of stakeholder consultation and workflow mapping to document processes, and produce helpful documentation and digital workflow systems to support end users and make it painless to adhere to the final process.
